Rowan’s garden has officially reopened, thanks to the incredible work of RingWay! To celebrate, we hosted a special event with RingWay staff, Rowan students, staff, and volunteers. Councillor Jenny Gawthorpe cut the ribbon, unveiling the transformed space for everyone to enjoy.
The new garden features levelled pathways for easy access, new seating areas, a sensory garden filled with plants to engage all the senses, and a BBQ area perfect for gatherings. We fired up the grill and enjoyed a delicious BBQ, undeterred by the classic UK mix of rain and sunshine.
Rose, our Fundraising Manager, expressed our gratitude: “We couldn’t be more grateful to RingWay. They’ve created a space where our students can connect with nature, relax, and find inspiration.”
Mike Thompson, Business Unit Manager at RingWay, shared his thoughts on the project: “We take great pride in being able to use our skills to add value to the communities local to our works and depots. It’s been brilliant working with the Rowan community and seeing what a positive impact the process and the garden itself is having on such wonderful people.”
Smiles were everywhere as students explored their new outdoor space. Thanks to RingWay’s hard work and generosity, our garden is now a vibrant, welcoming space for creativity and connection. 🌸
