Rowan arts centre awarded National Lottery funding

We are thrilled to announce that Rowan has been awarded £10,000 from the National Lottery to continue supporting adults with learning disabilities to live creative and independent lives.

The vital funds will go towards essential costs to keep the charity running for the next year, such as equipment for Rowan’s art studios.

“We’re delighted that the National Lottery has awarded us a grant which will help Rowan to provide a safe place for adults with learning disabilities to develop their creative talents and thrive,” said Rachael Scott, Rowan’s Chief Executive Officer. “We know that the service we provide has been more vital than ever in what has been a difficult 18 months.”

The grant will support people like Tracie, who has accessed Rowan’s services through the pandemic.

“They have helped me through a lot, they have supported me,” said Tracie. “I like to see my friends, and I have always treated my friends like family. This is what Rowan is about.”
