River Stories at Rowan

River Stories at Rowan
Saturday 8 April 2017, 11am until 4pm

Tile workshop: 11.30am – 1pm and 2pm – 3.30pm.
Clay models: 11am – 4pm.

As part of the Crafts Council’s Hey Clay! and BBC Get Creative initiative, we are running river inspired activities on Saturday 8 April 2017 at Rowan.

Come along and make and decorate a tile based on a story about the heritage of the River Cam. As part of our wider Heritage Lottery funded project we will be using some clay from the river to decorate the tile and maybe exhibited at Rowan and the Museum of Cambridge in 2017. The tile making class is for adults, 16+. Pre-booking essential.

For families, help make our river come alive by creating clay models. No booking necessary.

This is a great opportunity to come and see our newly refurbished facilities, take tours around the building, see our plans for our new public art garden,
take part in ceramics activities and tell us your memories of the River Cam as part of our HLF project.

Booking
Pre-booking essential for the adult tile workshop sarah@rowanhumberstone.co.uk or call 01223 566027. 8 adults per session.  £5 donation per person.

Refreshments available.
