This course is a short introduction to visible mending using patches. Follow easy, no-sew steps to make a decorative patch using salvaged materials and interfacing. Patches can be customised for an intended mend, and you can take some home for future use. You’ll then be guided through the process of mending a damaged piece of textile by applying your handmade patch.
Materials provided
Fabric and other materials will be supplied but we strongly encourage you to bring your own favourite textiles and any pieces that need mending.
Who can attend
This course is open to complete beginners as well as people wanting to improve their mending skills. You will be supported in a warm and relaxed learning environment with opportunity to pursue your own projects. Participants must be over 18 years old.
