Textiles – Creative Gift Ideas

Course overview
Learn to create beautiful, handcrafted holiday gifts and surprise your loved ones with your creativity. In this course, you’ll be guided by our expert textile tutor to craft a range of different functional and festive items such as bags, cushions, toys or stockings. The small group ensures you’ll get individual attention and tutoring to grow your confidence.

Who can attend

This course is open to all levels, although some basic sewing machine skills are advisable. Participants must be over 18 years old.

About the tutor
Your tutor GillyMai O’Brien is a textile creations artist. She was taught sewing by her mother as a child and it became a lifelong passion. GillyMai is highly skilled in many different techniques, such as felting, machine embroidery and the construction of clothing.

Cost
£200 for 8-week course.

Materials provided
All materials are included in the price, but we recommend bringing your own favourite fabrics if you have something specific in mind. We have several sewing machines available for this class, however you can bring your own equipment/tools to work with and get advice on. You can also bring images for inspiration.

Course dates:
Monday evenings, from 6.30pm until 9pm.
