Our 8-week woodwork course offers an introduction to constructive and direct carving techniques to explore portraiture on wood. The sessions will include design, the making of maquettes, the use of hand tools and the experimentation with the use of texture and polychromy.
You’ll gain practical woodworking experience with personalized guidance and instruction from experienced tutors.
This course is hand tools-only; we will not be using any power tools or machine equipment.
Materials provided
All materials are included in the price, but you are welcome to bring your own tools or images for inspiration. If you already have a piece/panel of wood you’d like to carve, you can bring that with you as well.
What to wear
Please wear comfortable clothes and sturdy shoes that you don’t mind getting a little dusty.
Who can attend
Participants must be over 18 years old.
