Claire: “Why I’m running the Cambridge Half Marathon”

Introducing our incredible team of Cambridge Half Marathon runners! One of the people supporting Rowan at this event is Claire, whose uncle Andrew is a student artist at Rowan.

“My unique and quite brilliant uncle Andrew has attended Rowan for many years. I have never run for causes in the past but this one is very close to my heart and I would love to raise some funds for this wonderful charity.

My uncle grew up on a farm with his parents, brother and sister (my mum Jayne), who is now his full time carer. This charity not only offers my mum respite, but has also given Andrew a vibrant group of friends and a creative community to be a part of. He loves it. Thank you for reading my story, I’m thrilled to be part of team Rowan and hope to raise some well needed funds for them. ”
