River Stories at Rowan

As part of the Crafts Council’s Hey Clay! and BBC Get Creative initiative, we ran river inspired activities on Saturday 8 April 2017 at Rowan.

Members of the local community came and decorated tiles based on a story about the heritage of the River Cam. As part of our wider Heritage Lottery funded project we will be using some clay from the river to decorate the tile and maybe exhibited at Rowan and the Museum of Cambridge in 2017.

We also added to our oral history project, collecting stories about the River Cam..
