We’re thrilled to share some exciting news about our ongoing fundraising campaign, Raise the Roof for Rowan. Our beloved arts centre in Cambridge has needed a new roof for many years, and thanks to your incredible support, we are so close to achieving this goal.
We secured a grant from The Community Ownership Fund that will cover the cost of replacing our leaky roof. However, to unlock this grant, we need to raise £36,000 of our own funds.
What have we raised so far?
We’re delighted to announce that we’ve already raised an astonishing £30,000. This incredible progress is all thanks to you—our amazing community of supporters.
With just £6,000 left to raise, we’re nearly there. Replacing the roof is a monumental achievement for us. It ensures that our arts centre remains a safe and welcoming space for adults with learning disabilities. By the end of this year, we will have a new roof over our heads, enabling us to continue providing valuable services and truly making a difference in the lives of our student artists at Rowan.
How can you help?
We need your help to get us over the finish line. Here are some ways you can contribute:
- Attend an upcoming fundraising event – check them out here
- Host your own fundraising event – Email us at fundraising@rowanhumberstone.org.uk if you’re interested.
- Donate directly to our campaign – click here to donate
Enjoy a play by our Drama Llamas!
To add a touch of creativity and fun to our campaign, our Drama Llamas—Rowan’s drama student artists—have put together a 4-minute short play for you to enjoy.
In their play, “Raise the Roof for Rowan!”, our students depict the frantic preparations for a big Rowan charity event. With so much still left to do, will they be able to pull it all together in time? Watch the video below to find out!
