Mural to celebrate Cherry Hinton Brook

We are delighted to be working with The Friends of Cherry Hinton Brook and Sainsbury’s on Brooks Road to create a large mural to celebrate wildlife in Cambridge.

The mural will be displayed on the Sainsbury’s building and act as a reminder and information board about the huge variety of wildlife which abound in and around a chalk stream just a few metres away. This was all made possible by the Cambridge City Council Public Art S106 grant and a £500 donation from Sainsbury’s.

Rowan students, along with lead artist Chris Deane, will be designing the 15-ft (4.5 metre) mural over the next few months; they will then begin to paint it, and we hope that it will be mounted in its new home towards the end of the summer.
