“Something different”

Over the last 6 weeks student artist Tracie has been working on something a little different. After completing some research, she took inspiration from the artist Barbara Hepworth to create her latest wood sculpture. 

Using spalted birch wood Tracie carved the shape of her sculpture before rasping and sanding for further definition. To complete she added a contrasting stand and oiled the whole design. 

“I feel proud that it is something different”, Tracie commenting on her wood sculpture. 

What a wonderful piece of artwork. We are pleased to say that it has already been reserved and will soon be going to its new home.
