Art enthusiasts taking part in Rowan’s Great Outdoors exhibition on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 February have raised £5,000 for the Cambridge-based arts charity.
Over 160 works created by accomplished artists and inspired amateurs were on sale anonymously at the exhibition, which took place at Long Road Sixth Form College.
Entitled The Great Outdoors, the exhibition showcased artworks inspired by nature. But don’t worry if you missed the event – artworks that didn’t sell at the exhibition are now for sale on the Rowan website.
“We know some people are still hesitant to attend events in person, so we’re excited to be able to offer artworks for sale via our online shop for the first time,” said Fundraising Events Manager Ellie Breeze. “At £45, it’s an affordable way to buy a piece of original art, and all for a great cause!”
All the money raised from art sales goes to the charity, which supports adults with learning disabilities through a range of arts workshops and a forest school.
